Course Overview:

8 week program duration at at cost of $175.00CDN plus materials
8 modules of training
Series of lectures, demonstrations, practice drills and homework assignments

Requirements:

All student need clippers, trimmers, scissors, cape, comb, detangler, table clamp or tripod, spray water bottle, practice doll head (12-18 inches in length)
These items can be purchased through your local beauty supply store, big box outlet or Amazon. Cutting kits approx $30 and Doll heads range between $30-50.

What’s included in the program?

The program consists of 8 thorough modules of specialized haircutting and styling techniques that you can apply to your child diagnosed with ASD to ensure a calmer and relaxed experience. Tested and proven tips and tricks are also incorporated from earlier hands-on workshops provided to parents just like you around desensitization, prepping for haircuts and more. 

Does Carecutting work with ABA therapists?

StyleAbility is producing an overview program for therapists that complement the training and techniques you’re learning as well. Our upcoming CAREcutting program allows therapists to help create new service offerings and help reinforce behaviours for your child around aspects of haircutting and overall calming practices to reduce anxiety, meltdowns or hyperactivity.
